Hotel California is the title track of the Eagles’ album of the same name. It was released in 1976 and has since become a staple of classic rock radio. The song was written by Don Felder, who came up with the idea after hearing an advert for vacation homes on Long Island, New York. He later wrote “I can see clearly now” to complete the lyrics.

Eagles – Hotel California

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself
“This could be Heaven or this could be Hell”
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor
I thought I heard them say

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year (Any time of year)
You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes bends
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

So I called up the Captain
“Please bring me my wine.”
He said, “We haven’t had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine.”
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
They livin’ it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your alibis

Mirrors on the ceiling
The pink champagne on ice
And she said “We are all just prisoners here, of our own device”
And in the master’s chambers
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives
But they just can’t kill the beast

Last thing I remember
I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
“Relax,” said the night man
“We are programmed to receive
You can check-out any time you like
But you can never leave!”

The Eagles are an American rock band that was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1971. The band is known for their hit singles “Hotel California”, “Take It Easy” and “One of Those Nights”.

The song Hotel California is about a fictional hotel where the guests have to pay up or be killed by a serial killer who goes around killing them one by one. This song has been featured on numerous film soundtracks like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), Pulp Fiction (1994), and more recently, The Hangover Part II (2011).
In my opinion, I think you should play this song when you’re going through tough times because it will help cheer you up.

I am guessing you mean how to play Hotel California by the Eagles.
Here is a short and sweet guide for anyone who wants to learn how to play this song on guitar:

Step 1: Play the Intro using E, A, D, G & B minor chords.
Step 2: Switch from these chords to C major by adding an F# note (use your index finger) at fret 3 of the first string (the 5th fret)
Step 3: This will lead into the chorus with C major chord progression played using the same fingerings as in step 2. The only difference here is that you’ll use your middle finger instead of your index one in order to reach those higher frets.

In order for you to get it right, I’ve included tabs below so that you can easily check yourself while playing along with this video tutorial. The tabs are designed in such a way that they help you get all the notes right but if you have any doubts or questions
